Two Great Induction Classes, One Extraordinary Weekend

Updated: May 13

This summer, you can be part of the ultimate honor in tennis when we welcome not one, but two inspiring induction classes of Hall of Fame greats: Goran Ivanišević and Conchita Martínez from the Class of 2020; and the Original 9 and Dennis Van der Meer from the Class of 2021!

The 2020 Induction Ceremony was cancelled due to Covid-19, and therefore this year’s ceremony will honor both classes.

"As we look ahead to the summer months, we are moving forward with plans for a terrific celebration in Newport. In addition to the traditional in-person ceremony and celebration, we are developing a variety of virtual programs so fans around the world can easily and safely participate."
- Todd Martin, ITHF CEO

Planned virtual celebrations throughout the Enshrinement Weekend include access to online question and answer chats with the inductees, a pre-ceremony red carpet show, behind-the-scenes museum tours with the Hall of Famers, and access to view the ceremony itself, among other programs.

Honoring the great champions and leaders who shaped tennis history is at the core of the International Tennis Hall of Fame’s mission and your participation either in person or virtually in Hall of Fame Enshrinement Weekend helps us celebrate the legends and inspire the next generation.

In-person and virtual ticket packages are available to purchase now!

Class of 2021 Inductee Lleyton Hewitt will not be able to travel to Newport for the induction ceremony this summer due to COVID-19 related travel restrictions. We will look forward to welcoming Lleyton to Newport in July 2022.
